I can't help but to think, on a daily basis, how much Dan has affected so many lives. I smile when I think of something funny he said. My favorite is when he told me that 'Life is not a bowl of f#%king cherries'. still, he managed to pass cheer to anyone and everyone around him. We are so very lucky for having him, and I see him in all of us. I have the pleasure of spending time with Michael, Mason, and Miranda and I see him in all of them.

Let's all remember the good, the fun, and the blessing for knowing Dan. Spread his cheer since he's not here to do it himself!

I have just had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Mindy and the kids. You could see Dan in each of them. I miss his laugh and the funny stories he told. The trip to Florida will always be remembered and I feel very blessed to have known him.
With much love,

Thought I'd check in and read the old posts. I lived down the street from Dan in Canton and shared our own times together during the relatively short years I knew him. Even though you may not here from or see everyone that 'experienced' Dan, he is remembered by people and in places you don't even know. I think about Dan almost every day and over a year later, his absence in this world is still difficult to think about. I was talking about Dan with our other neighbor just a few days ago while coming to terms with the sudden loss of another good friend, very similar to Dan, just this past Thursday. Just thought that in some way it might be comforting to be reminded that special people like Dan continue to live on in spirit and among many that crossed paths with him. It's just their physical presence that's lacking here with us, but they leave behind a legacy of love, caring, and a reminder to live life to the fullest and let those around you know that they're special and you care about them. And you know..bottom line..he was just good and fun to be around..and a good friend. When all is said and done, these things and a faith in God are all we really have here that's worth anything. One of my favorite quotes is attributed to Ralph Waldo Emerson and the last line reads 'to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded'. Well Dan was a success...in life. I'm glad to know and have known people that fit this description. Lot's of people carry around a little part of Dan with them and he made life better for many. He is missed but NEVER forgotten.
