My dad was a great man. You can't put into words how caring or trusting he was. You could trust him with anything and he would give you that same chance. He loved to tell stories and make people laugh. He could make you laugh until you cried. That's what I loved about him. He could make you feel better in no time at all. He would give you advice on anything and everything. I only have one regret and that is that we didn't get all of his stories on film. But, then again Dad was always the one behind the camera taking pictures or video. I know we used to get frustrated at him for it sometimes. But, I am so glad he did because now we have something to look back on smile and say I remember that. Even, if you don't it's nice to be able to something you missed out on. My Dad was a smooth talker and get his way out of anything. Most of the time. Sometimes his talking is what got him in trouble in the first place. I miss him terribly. I know we all do but, I feel like I have no one left to turn to. He was the one who kept me calm and rational. I could tell him anything and he would give me advice. He would take my side even if I was wrong. But, he would also make me concede and do what my mother said. He was a great man and I am at a loss for words. I greatly appreciate all he has done for me even though he didn't have too. I remember one story he told me. He was driving this car and listening to some music. It made some kind of grunting noise and he being the genius that he was pulled up the emergency brake. He said he started screaming and freaking out. I could never tell it like he told it. But, just the thought of my dad being as strong and tough as he was screaming was just hilarious.

Goodness... i know i wish i had inherited his smooth talking abilities. Im glad you got the time you did with him, although I know it didnt feel like enough time, it never will. I think its neat to see so much of him in all of his kids. Especially the older ones, yall are little Dans. You will always be able to hear his advice... just try to calm yourslef, take a deep breath... and say 'what would Dad do?'. Seriously... you may get a chuckle in the toughest moments... cause Dans first advice was always the joking/sarcastic dont really do it one... then you will be a little more relaxed to know. Dan taught yall well... he will always be in your heart (and head saying things ) :) Im here for ya, best I can be, let me know if you ever need to talk, I can listen. Love you!

He was a great man and is missed everyday. I miss or deep discussions on nothing, his laughter, his sarcasim. His positive outlook was inspiring and aggravating(lol). He was never ashamed to admit he was my friend.
